Cooking Instructions for Perfect Results:

Preparation: Remove from freezer and thaw in refrigerator for 24 hours. Let steak rest at room temperature for 30-45 minutes before cooking. Pat completely dry with paper towels and season generously with salt and freshly cracked black pepper.

Pan-Seared Method (Recommended):

  • Heat cast iron skillet over high heat until smoking hot
  • Add 1 tbsp high-heat oil (avocado or grapeseed)
  • Sear filet for 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare (internal temp 130-135°F)
  • Add butter, garlic, and fresh thyme in final minute, basting continuously
  • Rest for 5-10 minutes before serving

Grilling Method:

  • Preheat grill to high heat (450-500°F)
  • Sear for 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare
  • Move to cooler zone if needed to finish cooking
  • Rest for 5-10 minutes before serving

Pro Tips: Don't overcook - filet mignon is best enjoyed at medium-rare to medium. Use a meat thermometer for precision (130-135°F for medium-rare, 135-145°F for medium). Let it rest to allow juices to redistribute for maximum tenderness.

Serving Suggestions:

Pair with roasted asparagus, garlic mashed potatoes, or a simple arugula salad. Top with compound butter, béarnaise sauce, or a red wine reduction. Serve with a bold Cabernet Sauvignon or Malbec.

Each order includes: Two 5 oz filet mignon steaks, vacuum-sealed for freshness and shipped frozen.
